Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, Washington, DC
The Brady Campaign is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization that lobbies in favor of reasonable gun regulations at local, state and national levels.The Center to Prevent Handgun Violence is the legal action, research and education affiliate of The Brady Campaign.

Connecticut Against Gun Violence
CT Against Gun Violence is the sister organization to CAGV Education Fund founded in 1993 to combat gun violence. Supporting common-sense legislative proposals to reduce gun death and injury.

Freedom States Alliance (FSA)
Freedom States Alliance (FSA) is an outside the D.C. beltway project working to reduce gun injury and death in the United States. Much of our focus is on public awareness campaigns intended to change the way Americans think about guns, gun violence and the gun industry. Our online resources serve to inform and update citizens in a timely manner about key developments. We also provide web-based and capacity-building resources for statewide grassroots organizations and others working to address this important public health issue.

The John Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research
The John Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research is dedicated to reducing gun-related injuries and deaths through the application of a public health perspective and sound research to the issue of gun violence prevention. Its faculty and affiliated experts have pioneered innovative strategies for reducing gun violence, and achieved a national reputation for high-quality, policy-relevant research..

PAX
PAX works to bring an end to the gun violence epidemic in America - an epidemic that kills 9 children every day. Through innovative public health campaigns, PAX promotes practical, non-political solutions that all Americans can embrace - solutions that help to protect families and children and work immediately to save lives.

People Against Injustice (PIA), New Haven is a grassroots organization whose mission is to balance the scales of justice, prison and education reform. PIA has formed a coalition with organizations around the state sharing our indignation with policies that maintain injustice. We are committed to assisting in the empowerment of people who are disproportionately impacted by these policies. For more information, call 203-937-1060.

The Special License and Firearms Unit (SLFU)
The Special License and Firearms Unit (SLFU) is responsible for the issuance of state pistol permits, and oversight and regulation of firearm sale transactions,. The unit is also responsible for investigating violations of state law relating to the purchase, sale and transfer of firearms.

States United to Prevent Gun Violence
States United to Prevent Gun Violence Research and Education Fund is an independent association of state-wide, single issue, multi-project gun violence prevention organizations. The purpose of States United is to support, enhance and maximize the ability of our member organizations to work effectively with each other and the citizens of their states to prevent gun deaths and injuries.

The Violence Policy Center
The Violence Policy Center is a national non-profit organization working to fight firearms violence through research, education, and advocacy. As a gun control "think tank," the VPC analyzes a wide range of current firearm issues and provides information to policymakers, journalists, public health professionals, grassroots activists, and members of the general public.
